Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. The album Satisfied came out in 2007. She formed a Pistol Annies band with Angaleena Lambert and Miranda Lambert. Her second album, Like a Rose (2013) follows. Ashley Monroe Performing with Blake SheltonIn 2015 she came up With The Blade, another album which gained her acclaim and high praise. Ashley Monroe has been in public service for more than 15 years, and spent five years serving as the city's deputy manager in Iowa City. The Village Manager's Assistant's responsibilities include the management of Community Development and Building Department in coordination of grants as well as the execution of projects that are special. Ashley works to support the village's daily services, while working with the elected representatives of the local area. Ashley's previous roles included the planning of municipal services, public communications budgeting, management of personnel and collective negotiations. The focus was also on climate action. Because of her involvement with the national community and working in communities with populations ranging Ashley has gained an understanding of the complexities differences and similarities in how public organizations work. Ashley's teaching focuses on current approaches to management and leadership within public sector organizations, based on her experience as a professional. Her emphasis on ethical and strategic decision-making adaptation to current issues and opportunities as well as the navigating of intergovernmental and community relationships will provide a framework for future and working professionals within public organizations.
